History buffs Esparza and Urbina ready for WBC eliminator<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Golden Boy Promotions will present an attractive women’s match with Marlen Esparza (7-1, 1 KO) of Houston, Texas and Sulem Urbina (12-0, 2 KO’s) of Phoenix, Arizona.<\/p>\n

It`s an elimination duel for the opportunity to dispute the flyweight title of the World Boxing Council.
\nThe fight will take place on Friday, October 30 at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and will be broadcast on DAZN.
\n“I’m excited,” said Marlen Esparza. \u201cI want to thank the WBC for the opportunity to have an elimination fight. It has been a dream and a vision of mine to represent the WBC. I want people to enjoy another great fight. I am proud to be on this stage with a great fighter.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know there is a limited number of women’s matches, so I am honored to have this opportunity. I have fought Sulem Urbina on multiple occasions, and I look forward to doing it one more time.\u201d
\n“Upon receiving the call for this fight, I took it instantly because I know it is a great opportunity for me,” Sulem Urbina said. \u201cWe are both part of the Golden Boy company, and they want to settle the best fights possible. Marlen and I have history. When I saw her fighting for the first time in 2008, I became her fan, until the moment when I became her rival.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel that Marlen owes a lot to Seniesa Estrada, because that defeat opened her a new path and I believe she is going to come back stronger. I’ll be ready for the best version of Esparza. In the midst of this pandemic and in such uncertain times, I know that this fight, although without attendance, will have a large audience through DAZN because it is a fight that everyone wants to see.\u201d<\/p>\n
