Mauricio Sulaiman re-elected WBC President<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Maurico Sulaiman has been unanimously re-elected as President of the World Boxing Council.<\/p>\n

The proposition was forwarded by Frank Hadley and seconded by Duane Ford.\u00a0 Mauricio has been elected to serve another four year term. The vote was also unanimous for the same Board of Governors to serve for the same time span. Each of WBC`s Federations have two votes each, totaling eighteen.<\/p>\n

Mauricio said: “When my Father passed away six years ago, I and my family found in the Boxing Community, thousands of shoulders to lean on. We felt every second was a celebration of Jose Sulaiman`s life. The Boxing community embraced my family. It made a difference and it made a difference to me.\u00a0 I would like to thank all the Federations for their confidence in me.\u00a0 I will not let you down.<\/p>\n

“Let`s continue to lead the sport, making boxing safer for the boxers.\u00a0 The WBC is moving strong into the chances we are facing.\u00a0 Your friendship is my inspiration.”<\/p>\n
