A little over a year ago, Zepeda (31-2, 25 knockouts) challenged world champion Jose Ramirez in Fresno, California, offering a very good fight in a majority decision that allowed Ramirez to retain his WBC crown.<\/p>\n<p>Zepeda did very well on the Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin card last September at the T-Mobile Arena, beating former world champion Jose &#8220;Sniper&#8221; Pedraza in 10 rounds.<br \/>\nSan Antonio&#8217;s Casta\u00f1eda (17-1, 8 knockouts) entered the bout after Zepeda&#8217;s original opponent Ivan Baranchyk suffered a training injury.
