WBC Celebrates Boxing’s gradual return<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Faced with the health crisis that is affecting the world, boxing and sport in general has suffered an unexpected blow, but\u00a0it`s \u00a0something that we must understand,\u00a0with \u00a0patience and calm.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This pandemic has affected economies worldwide, so we must adjust and cooperate plus innovate\u00a0\u00a0in many aspects.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After a pause, professional boxing returned to ESPN television screens on June 9th\u00a0 via Top Rank,\u00a0presenting \u00a0quality cards behind closed doors on Tuesdays and Thursdays.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Nevada State Athletic Commission and Top Rank, have impeccably carried out all the safety and health measures to guarantee the safety of all involved.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another promoter which joined\u00a0these \u00a0efforts to return boxing safely is Zanfer, who through TV Azteca Mexico show \u201cVolvemos con Punch,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span>has\u00a0 done successful editions of this program, which is broadcast live on Saturdays. also on ESPN.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We are sure that more promoters from around the world will join the efforts for a safe boxing return in this new reality that we are obliged to be living.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The World Boxing Council recognizes the passion and dedication that everyone involved in boxing’s return has made. And as a form of thanks, the WBC has presented commemorative medals to the main protagonists, our fighters.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
