On April 20th 2020 Cancun will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary as an International\u00a0Holidays Jewel of the Mayan Rivera, blessed with sugar white beaches, lapped by turquoise Caribbean seas.<\/p>\n

From a sleepy fishing village, which gave its name to a baby panda, to\u00a0THE TOP \u00a0international vacation resort throughout the Continent of the Americas. The Culture of Tourism.<\/p>\n

Such a\u00a0 historical landmark demands so much more than a just drum roll build up or a ticker tape parade. Cancun Boxing, which has irresistibly blended, \u00a0marinated and matured the spiced essence of tourism and sports, \u00a0is combining hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder with the World Boxing\u00a0Council, to create a blockbuster ring of confidence with WBC female super flyweight world champion Lupita Martinez defending her crown against audacious challenger Debani “Exquisita” Balderas on December 14 in Tulum, Quintana Roo. Where else!<\/p>\n

Cancun Boxing creator and promoter Pepe G\u00f3mez accompanied\u00a0\u00a0Lupita to the WBC`s Martes a Caf\u00e9, event at Mexico`s Food Market to present this cr\u00e8me a la cr\u00e8me cappuccino of an event, praising her as: “A Champion of Steel,” tempered as one of the most dedicated, finest and most talented, yet modest of boxing stars.<\/p>\n

He said that the fight of Lupita will be the foundation bedrock for the building celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Cancun. And that as always it will be a guaranteed thriller of a show, as Lupita has established herself as\u00a0a force to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n

To reinforce the point Pepe was flanked by two Mayors.\u00a0 Municipal President of Tulum, Mr. V\u00edctor Mas Tah fluently thanked\u00a0everyone in the\u00a0traditional Mayan\u00a0language \u00a0and also explained this bout is apt, because it historically dovetails in with the epic battles of the \u00a0Mayan culture.<\/p>\n

Mara Lezama, who`s President of the Benito Ju\u00e1rez Municipality, Quintana Roo, took the microphone remembering the tremendous success of the recent WBC 57th<\/sup> Convention which planted a seed of inspiration that she is seeking to flourish in the marginalized areas of Cancun.<\/p>\n

She explained that 2020 will be a great year for Cancun, since it celebrates 50 years of its birth.\u00a0 It`ll be celebrated with an array of cultural , musical, gastronomic and sporting events, and all of this will be given an international window, opened wide\u00a0due to \u00a0Lupita\u00b4s fight.<\/p>\n

Lupita herself spoke of her pride in representing Cancun Boxing.\u00a0 She said her commitment is reflected in the depth and determination of her preparations as a champion and her iron will to retain her Green and Gold Belt.\u00a0 She said that this is all a step by step process. But stressed to all comers: “I`m here, I`m ready and I`m waiting.”<\/p>\n
