Down memory lane as Emanuel Steward en route to immortality in Detroit<\/b><\/h2>\n

A special and memorable ceremony this Sunday, as a\u00a0route \u00a0in Detroit will be\u00a0named \u00a0\u201cEmanuel Steward Street,\u201d\u00a0 honoring the many- Manny achievements and legacy of All TIME GREAT boxing trainer Emanuel Steward.<\/p>\n

Manny was \u00a0born in West Virginia. At the age 12 he moved to Detroit with his Mother,\u00a0and the “Motor City” would be the location of his everlasting fame.\u00a0\u00a0Manny is recognized as one of the most successful trainers in the history of Boxing. Following his patient, brilliant and inspirational lead, more than 40 professional fighters \u00a0become world champions. It reads as the Who`s Who of Boxing!<\/p>\n

Pupils of the legendary “Kronk Gym” remember him with love, respect and admiration because not only did he care for them in their corner in the ring, but also extended his attention plus help to their nutrition, personal development and\u00a0daily life. \u00a0Emanuel became for many fighters a\u00a0lifelong friend and for still more a father figure.<\/p>\n

Manny`s star roll call of greatness includes: Thomas Hearns, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield and Wladimir Klitschko.<\/p>\n

Although\u00a0he \u00a0passed away in 2012,\u00a0Manny`s \u00a0legacy will eternally live and shine brightly in the memory and gratitude of the boxers he developed to greatness.<\/p>\n

The World Boxing Council joins this celebration of this TRULY GREAT MAN with\u00a0pride and \u00a0honor, always remembering with great affection, respect and admiration, the ONE AND ONLY \u00a0Emanuel Steward.<\/p>\n
