Joel “Cepillo” Casamayor\u00a0can`t shake off the wonderment and sheer thrill \u00a0about\u00a0his forthcoming induction into \u00a0the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame on Friday.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“My body will tremble at the moment they call my name,” Joel Casamayor said. \u201cIt has been a long time since I started boxing in Cuba until my last professional fight. Maybe when I was boxing I didn’t think about my place in history. But now I do!”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Casamayor will enter the Boxing Hall of Fame in Nevada as part of the seventh generation of legends of the museum located in Las Vegas, the capitol and the heartland of international boxing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In addition to residing in the so-called City of Sin, the elegant Cuban fighter fought 12 times in Nevada and this is precisely where he became one of the most popular fighters, loved\u00a0for \u00a0his personality and the way he magnificently fought up in the ring.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“In Las Vegas I have not only found a roof and work as a coach, but I find the reward in the love of people who still recognize me,” said the 48-year-old warrior, smiling as he added: \u201cI must have done something good to receive so much\u00a0adoration and…\u00a0I really appreciate that.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It will be at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, where this Cuban all time great will receive the tribute along with other legends of international boxing. That fabulous lineup is Bernard Hopkins, Terry Norris, \u201cChiquita\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez, \u201cDinamita\u201d M\u00e1rquez, Ronald \u201cWinky Wright, Vinny Paz and Bobby Chac\u00f3n (posthumously).<\/p>\n
