The fighting fate of September 15 began in 1972 when Erubey \u201cChango\u201d Carmona faced Mando Ramos at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California, conquering the WBC light title by fast track in the eighth round.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, the greatest representative of these Mexican National Holidays has been Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, who on September 13, 1984 conquered the WBC super-feather world championship at the Olympic Auditorium, also in Los Angeles, California, with an overwhelming TKO in 8 rounds over Mario Martinez.<\/p>\n

Other fighters who have honored the date have been: Salvador Sanchez, Humberto \u201cChiquita\u201d Gonzalez, Gabriel Ruelas, Ricardo Lopez, Oscar de la Hoya, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Israel V\u00e1zquez, Jos\u00e9 Luis Castillo, Christian Mijares, Edgar Sosa, Humberto Soto, Juan Manuel M\u00e1rquez, Jorge Arce and \u00a0Sa\u00fal \u00c1lvarez.<\/p>\n

The WBC\u00a0honors \u00a0these celebrations with the creation of the “Adolfo L\u00f3pez Mateos” commemorative belt that is presented as a special prize for the winner of these fabulous datelines.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On May 4 Sa\u00fal \u00c1lvarez and Daniel Jacobs, disputed the commemorative belt, which on that occasion was\u00a0created \u00a0by the Mayan community. A\u00a0 unique masterpiece that symbolically represents the eighteen centuries of Mayan Culture in the Year of the Maya. And for this September our artisans are already busy, working on a second edition of the belt.<\/p>\n
