Four months ago, WBC Silver Champion Gabriela \u201cBonita\u201d S\u00e1nchez and Argentina\u2019s Tamara \u201cRebelde\u201d DeMarco first clashed for the WBC Interim Title in Gaby\u2019s hometown of Puebla.<\/p>\n

The bout was over almost before it truly began due to an accidental clash of heads, which left Tamara with a severe gash on her left eyebrow, resulting in a technical draw.<\/p>\n

This Saturday night at the Arena GNP, the two will trade leather once again. The victor is likely to advance toward a showdown with the formidable undisputed champion, Gabriela Fundora.<\/p>\n

At their final press conference, held on the fourth floor of the magnificent Royalty Hotel, both fighters showed mutual respect, yet the adrenaline in the room was palpable.<\/p>\n

Unlike their previous encounter\u2014where she appeared tense and somber\u2014Tamara was all smiles, beaming and relaxed. Gaby, sporting stylish mauve glasses, frequently flashed her dazzling signature smile.<\/p>\n

While Tamara vows the belt will travel south to Argentina, Gaby insists it is most definitely staying put in Puebla.<\/p>\n

Gaby has been sharpening her tools with altitude training in Malinche, Tlaxcala, while Tamara has undergone a grueling camp in her homeland. The challenger claims she is undaunted by entering the “Lioness\u2019s Den,” noting that on Saturday, there will only be three people inside the ring.<\/p>\n

Gaby, however, says she has a point to prove, promising to rain down powerful, well-directed punches on her shorter opponent.<\/p>\n
