Zoom before Boom for Fundora and Thurman<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WBC Super Welterweight Champion Sebastian \u201cThe Towering Inferno\u201d Fundora and former unified world champion Keith \u201cOne Time\u201d Thurman shared and aired their thoughts on their upcoming world title clash during a virtual press conference ahead of their main event on Saturday, March 28th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Fundora, the reigning champion, looks to secure another marquee, tent peg victory to establish himself as the best in the 154-pound division. He faces Keith who wants to be the thief, by stealing his thunder.<\/p>\n

Here is what both fighters had to say:<\/p>\n

SEBASTIAN FUNDORA
\n“We are ready to defend our title and remain the WBC World Super Welterweight Champion. I see Keith as just another opponent. I\u2019ve faced reigning champions and former champions, so I have to treat this as just another fight. I need to own the ring and make this fight mine.<\/p>\n

“I am the younger fighter and the champion. Many things are in my favor for this fight, but I can\u2019t rely on that alone. At this stage of my career, I am extremely confident and more mature.<\/p>\n

“I expect the best Keith Thurman to show up. That\u2019s what we are preparing for. Whether he brings it or not isn’t up to me, but I\u2019ll be ready.<\/p>\n

“He says I haven\u2019t fought any veterans, but that\u2019s because those veterans aren’t around anymore.
\n“Keith Thurman looked good in his last fight, but I believe my skills are better. That\u2019s why we\u2019re fighting. I plan to go in there and successfully defend my title.”<\/p>\n

\n“He needs to be Sebastian Fundora. He\u2019s trying to simplify it for himself. Being a champion is a heavy burden; I know that. He\u2019s going to see what a veteran is capable of doing.<\/p>\n

“Great champions become champions again, and you can\u2019t stop a champion from reaching the top. I still have several tangos left in me, and that\u2019s what March 28th is all about. I\u2019m back in the spotlight and ready to showcase my talent.<\/p>\n

“When [Fundora] goes down, he\u2019ll realize what a legend is. He hasn\u2019t met one yet. He knows what he has to tell himself to walk into the ring like it\u2019s just another day. I take it a bit more seriously than that, and he\u2019ll find out that March 28th isn’t just any day\u2014it\u2019s Thurman\u2019s day.<\/p>\n

“Fundora is starting to get better and better. He\u2019s starting to develop those layers. But it takes a fight like this to truly reach the highest level. That\u2019s what makes great champions.”<\/p>\n
