“Boxing for Peace”: The WBC Backs President Claudia Sheinbaum\u2019s Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mexico\u2019s President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, has reaffirmed her commitment to youth and sports with the launch of the “Boxing for Peace” initiative.<\/p>\n

This ambitious project, integrated into the J\u00f3venes Construyendo el Futuro (Youth Building the Future) program, seeks to utilize boxing as a cornerstone for rebuilding the social fabric and promoting a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The strategy centers on the recruitment of 5,000 boxers\u2014both men and women\u2014who will receive financial incentives to serve not just as athletes, but as mentors and guides for younger generations.<\/p>\n

Their mission is to train and inspire 100,000 children and adolescents across Mexico, instilling the values of discipline and resilience that define Mexican boxing.<\/p>\n

In the words of President Sheinbaum, the goal is clear: to bring sports to those who need it most, transforming the streets into spaces for learning and personal growth.<\/p>\n

The program allows ring professionals to become aspirational figures for children, actively fostering a culture of peace.<\/p>\n
