1968.- Thai Chartchai Chionoi knocked out Mexican Efren \u201cAlacr\u00e1n\u201d Torres in 13 rounds, defending the WBC flyweight title, at the Cuatro Caminos Bullfight, in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.<\/p>\n

1978.- Nicaraguan Alexis Arguello knocked out Puerto Rican Alfredo Escalera in 13 rounds in Bayam\u00f3n, Puerto Rico, to win the WBC super featherweight title.<\/p>\n

1995.- Mexican Gabriel Ruelas knocked out American Fred Liberatore in the second round at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada, defending his WBC super featherweight title.<\/p>\n

2006.- \u201cNight of Champions\u201d was held in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico as a boost plus support, following the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma. This unprecedented event carried out via the initiative of Don Jos\u00e9 Sulaim\u00e1n and Pepe G\u00f3mez, was attended by Evander Holyfield, Ken Norton, Lennox Lewis, Roberto Dur\u00e1n, Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, Laila Ali, Michael Spinks, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Ricardo L\u00f3pez , H\u00e9ctor Camacho, Alexis Arg\u00fcello, Jackie Nava, Wilfredo G\u00f3mez, Jeff Fenech, Carlos Zarate, Ra\u00fal Mac\u00edas, Rub\u00e9n Olivares, Ana Mar\u00eda Torres, Jelena Mrdjenovich, Daniel Zaragoza, Erik Morales, Humberto Gonz\u00e1lez, among others.<\/p>\n

2006.- The Aztec Princess Jackie Nava defended her WBC super bantamweight title, defeating Kelsey Jeffries by decision, at the Plaza de Toros de Canc\u00fan.<\/p>\n

2006.- The Mexican Jorge \u201cTravieso\u201d Arce defeated the Nicaraguan Adonis Rivas by knockout in the seventh round, defending his interim WBC flyweight title, in the Plaza de Toros in Cancun.<\/p>\n

2006.- German Markus Beyer defended his WBC super middleweight title, defeating Italian Alberto Colajanni by knockout in 12 rounds, in a fight held in Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n

2017.- American Mikey Garcia conquered the WBC lightweight title, knocking out the previously undefeated Dejan Zlaticanin of Montenegro in 3 rounds. The match took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n

2017.- In one of the best fights of the year, Mexican Miguel \u201cAlacr\u00e1n\u201d Berchelt defeated his compatriot Francisco \u201cBandido\u201d Vargas in 11 rounds, in Indio, California. With this victory, Berchelt was crowned WBC super featherweight champion.<\/p>\n
