Chosen for the 2026 International Boxing Hall of Fame<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum announced the newest class of inductees to be honored during the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend June 11-14, 2026 in \u201cBoxing\u2019s Hometown\u201d Canastota, NY.<\/p>\n

The Class of 2026 includes Gennadiy \u201cGGG\u201d Golovkin, Antonio Tarver and\u00a0 Nigel Benn in the Men\u2019s Modern category; Naoko Fujioka and Jackie Nava in the Women\u2019s Modern category; trainer \/ cut man Russ Anber, referee Frank Cappuccino (posthumous), trainer \/ cut man Jimmy Glenn (posthumous) and physician Dr. Edwin \u201cFlip\u201d Homansky in the Non-Participant category; journalist Kevin Iole and broadcaster Alex Wallau (posthumous) in the Observer category; and Jimmy Clabby (posthumous) in the Old Timer category.<\/p>\n

Inductees were voted in by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and a panel of international boxing historians. Biographies on the Class of 2026 can be found on\u00a0www.ibhof.com<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled about the Class of 2026 and are very much looking forward to honoring the newest class of inductees to earn boxing\u2019s highest honor,\u201d said Executive Director Edward Brophy.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend is scheduled for June 11-14th in \u201cBoxing\u2019s Hometown.\u201d Many events will take place in Canastota and nearby Turning Stone Resort Casino throughout the four-day celebration including ringside talks, fist casting, fight night, 5K race \/ fun run, boxing autograph card show, banquet, parade and induction ceremony.<\/p>\n

About the International Boxing Hall of Fame<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The International Boxing Hall of Fame opened to the public in 1989 and is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the great sport of boxing. Located in Canastota, New York, it serves as a tribute to the world\u2019s finest boxers and contributors to the sport, allowing boxing enthusiasts to appreciate and celebrate the rich history and tradition of boxing. The International Boxing Hall of Fame is located at Exit 34 of the New York State Thruway. Hours of operation are Monday \u2013 Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
