WBC Convention: Activities Kick Off with Internal Meetings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

By far the most ambitious and far-reaching World Boxing Council<\/strong> annual get-together of all time, at the Marriott Marquis, Queen\u2019s Park Hotel, Bangkok,<\/strong> as it\u2019s the WBC\u2019s 63rd Boxing Convention<\/strong> and now simultaneously its first Muay Thai Convention.<\/strong> The Double Helping<\/strong> Convention is from November 30th to December 5th.<\/strong> There is much to discuss and then transform into tangible action, to strengthen the foundations on which to build a better, more coordinated, and essentially safer future for the boxers, who are the forefront, fulcrum, atop the hands-on pyramid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The combined expertise of the WBC Team<\/strong> and Specialists<\/strong> from the hotel and further afield were<\/strong> coordinated by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman<\/strong> and Major General Thanapol Bhakdibhumi<\/strong> who is also Chairman of WBC Muay Thai.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The WBC Family<\/strong> of almost two hundred affiliate nations is vast and diverse. At this Convention there are various categories.<\/strong> They include: Champions, Fighters, Commissions, press, Federations, cutmen, coaches, doctors, promoters, matchmakers and more<\/strong> all providing the spark, which will kindle and light up the success of communication.<\/p>\n

On November 30th,<\/strong> the first evening cocktail was held.<\/strong> Meeting old friends but also an opportunity to strike up fresh, new acquaintances, at the Pool House.<\/strong><\/p>\n

World Championship Boxing<\/strong> action at a special boxing show was planned,<\/strong> as well as the Gala Dinner<\/strong>\u2014a chance to relax and be merry after long days of productive work.<\/p>\n

Days of hard work including an emotional opening ceremony, ratings<\/strong> sessions, ring officials’<\/strong> seminar, and more. This is a snapshot of what\u2019s going to be happening on days which will better boxing. A meeting of harmony and purpose.<\/p>\n

Appreciation for famous Thai hospitality,<\/strong> which was reciprocated by the WBC\u2019s<\/strong> very own Tony Bennett, Esteban Ruesga,<\/strong> who sang “B\u00e9same Mucho.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rapturous applause which almost brought the house down!<\/p>\n
