WBC Mourns the Passing of Vanes Martirosyan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The World Boxing Council and our President , Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, express profound sorrow and deepest condolences, following the passing of former boxer and beloved member of the boxing family, Vanes Martirosyan, who lost his brave battle against cancer.<\/p>\n

Vanes, known for his indomitable fighting spirit inside and outside the ring, fought a long, courageous and difficult battle against this terrible illness.<\/p>\n

During this time, the WBC provided him with support through the Jos\u00e9 Sulaim\u00e1n Boxers Fund, an initiative created to help members of the boxing community in times of need.<\/p>\n

Although he received the best possible treatment and fought with admirable determination, he unfortunately could not overcome this daunting obstacle.<\/p>\n

The WBC asks the global boxing community to join in prayer for the eternal rest of Vanes Martirosyan. His legacy as a boxer and his fighting spirit will live on as a shining and an inspiring memory to all, who had the privilege of knowing him.<\/p>\n

Rest in Peace Dear Friend Vanes Martirosyan. How we will miss you.<\/p>\n
