WBC Silver Super Lightweight Champion, Dalton \u201cThe Thunder\u201d Smith, has selected rising Mexican talent Aaron Barajas, standout of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix, as his official sparring partner in preparation for his upcoming World title bout.<\/p>\n

Meeting in Mexico City and recognition of Mexican talent<\/i><\/i><\/h3>\n

During his recent visit to Mexico City to attend the traditional \u201cMartes a Caf\u00e9\u201d press conference hosted by the World Boxing Council (WBC), Dalton Smith (undefeated record: 18-0, 13 KOs) met Aaron Barajas (8-1, 2 KOs), a talented and promising young Mexican professional, who recently competed in the WBC Boxing Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Although Barajas was eliminated in the second stage of the tournament\u2014after a close fight against fellow countryman Misael Cabrera (17-2-1, 11 KOs)\u2014his impressive performance caught the attention of the British champion.<\/p>\n

Dalton Smith extends training camp invitation<\/i><\/h3>\n

At the press conference, Smith and his team watched highlights of Barajas\u2019 fights and, very impressed by his skills, made a public offer: to join Dalton Smith\u2019s training camp as his official sparring partner for his next bout, scheduled for November 22 in Saudi Arabia against Subriel Mat\u00edas, current unified WBC Super Lightweight Champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrain hard, represent well. This tournament is a big opportunity. I\u2019ve been watching the fights and the progress of the young boxers, and I\u2019m impressed,\u201d<\/i>\u00a0said Smith about the Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

WBC Boxing Grand Prix is already opening international doors<\/i><\/h3>\n

This invitation highlights the innovative success of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix, a global tournament created to promote and showcase young boxing talent. WBC President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n emphasized that the project is already delivering results:<\/p>\n
