In a historic moment for women’s boxing, American Alycia \u201cThe Bomb\u201d Baumgardner has solidified her position as the undisputed super featherweight champion, holding the belts from the World Boxing Council (WBC), the World Boxing Association (WBA), the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the World Boxing Organization (WBO). \nOriginally from Fremont, Ohio, and with multicultural roots\u2014her mother is of German, Japanese, and Korean descent; her father is African American and Mexican\u2014Baumgardner has taken and developed her talent beyond the confines of the ring.<\/p>\n

Possessing an aggressive and explosive style, she has proven to be a fighter with knockout power, tactical intelligence, and a mindset focused on peak performance, via smart strategy.<\/p>\n

Her rise to stardom began in November 2021, when she surprised the world by knocking out then-champion Terri Harper in England, capturing the WBC super featherweight belt. Since then, her career has been on a meteoric rise: she unified titles in a close battle against Mikaela Mayer in October 2022, and subsequently claimed the WBA title after defeating Elhem Mekhaled in February 2023.<\/p>\n

Baumgardner also avenged the only loss of her professional career when she defeated Christina Linardatou by unanimous decision in July 2023, reaffirming her absolute dominance in the division. She currently holds a record of 15 wins, 1 loss, and 1 “no contest,” with 7 of those victories coming by way of knockout.<\/p>\n

Outside the ring, Baumgardner has become an icon for new generations of female boxers. She recently signed with Most Valuable Promotions, owned by YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, which has further strengthened her media presence and her commitment to the evolution of women’s boxing.<\/p>\n

Alycia will see action this July 11 at Madison Square Garden, where she will defend her titles against Spain’s Jennifer Miranda as part of a historic women’s card headlined by Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano III.
