Yokasta Valle To Defend WBC Crown in Costa Rica<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The World Boxing Council’s strawweight champion, Yokasta Valle, will face Peru’s Roc\u00edo Gaspar.<\/p>\n

Their ten-round bout will headline a card on July 18 at the C\u00e1mara de Ganaderos de Liberia in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

Valle, with a record of 33-3 (10 KOs), previously fought at this same venue on November 1, where she defeated Ramandeep Kaur by second-round knockout. Her most recent fight was at flyweight, where she outpointed Marlen Esparza in Cancun, Mexico.<\/p>\n

Gaspar, with a record of 12-2 (3 KOs), has international experience. She fought an electrifying bout against the then-undefeated Tina Rupprecht in Heilbronn, Germany.<\/p>\n

Valle’s first defense will be under her company, Yoka Sport & Boxing Promotions, which she runs with her manager, Mario Vega.<\/p>\n
