Menayothin retains \u00a0WBC Belt\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WBC minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin \u00a0fought and brought his record to 53-0 with an eight round unanimous technical decision over Tatsuya Fukuhara \u00a0in Chachoengsao, Thailand.<\/p>\n

Menayothin dominated the bout… until suffering a cut over his right eye in an accidental headbut in round eight.<\/p>\n

The fight was stopped by Referee Bruce McTavish on the advice of the Ring Doctor, \u00a0and sent to the scorecards where Wanheng was declared the technical decision winner.<\/p>\n

Judges scores were 79-73, 78-74, 78-74.<\/p>\n

Wanheng moved to 53-0, 18 KOs and Fukuhara fell to 21-7-6, 7 KOs. They previously clashed on November 2017, with Wanheng winning an entertaining twelve round unanimous decision.<\/p>\n
