Galal Yafai will face Mexican Francisco \u201cChihuas\u201d Rodriguez Jr. in a bout in which his WBC Interim flyweight interim title will be at stake.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fight will take place on Saturday, June 21, at the same arena where Yafai won his title, the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In November last year, Yafai faced Sunny Edwards for the then-vacant 112-pound interim title. He won the fight by knocking out Edwards in the sixth round.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The experienced Mexican is looking to become a WBC-endorsed champion for the second time. In 2019, he was crowned WBC super flyweight champion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Galal Yafai has an undefeated record of 9 wins, 7 of them by KO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Francisco \u201cChihuas\u201d Rodriguez Jr. has a record of 39-6-1 with 27 KOs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
