The WBC mourns the passing of Rene Francis<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We have received the very sad news of the passing of our dear friend Rene Francis, a man linked to boxing, recognized for his dedication and passion for the sport.<\/p>\n

Rene was instrumental in helping the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department launch the Green Belt Challenge project in collaboration with the World Boxing Council; he was always involved in ensuring the exceptional quality of the events.<\/p>\n

Rene leaves a deep void in the world of boxing and in the lives of all, who had the honor, joy and privilege of knowing him.<\/p>\n

He will always be remembered as an honest, kind, decent and dedicated man, but he will be revered and adored even more for the great human being he was.<\/p>\n

The entire WBC family, along with its President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rene Francis during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
