On July 11, champions Yamileth Mercado and Ellie Scotney will fight on an historic card presented by MVP.
\nMVP unfurling a massive all-female card with four world championship fights on the line.<\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated fights is the clash between Mexico’s Mercado and Britain’s Scotney, who will fight for their super bantamweight titles.<\/p>\n

Yamileth has been the WBC super bantamweight champion since 2019. On that occasion, she dethroned Fatuma Zarika. The two boxers had previously faced each other in 2018, but Zarika emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

“Yeimi,” who has successfully defended her championship seven times, has a record of 23-3 with five KOs.<\/p>\n

Scotney, 27, is the current WBO and IFB super bantamweight champion.<\/p>\n

She won the IBF title in 2023, defeating Cherneka Johnson by unanimous decision. One fight later, she defeated Segolene Lefebvre to capture the WBO belt.
\nScotney boasts an undefeated record of 10 wins.<\/p>\n
