Athenkosi Dumezweni is the new Silver Super Fly WBC champion<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Former South African champion Athenkosi Dumezweni, won the vacant WBC Silver Super Flyweight title with a wide unanimous 12-round points decision over Filipino Jonas Sultan.<\/p>\n

The South African won as Judge Eddie Pappoe scored 119-108 and judges John Shipanuka and Christopher Fernandez handed in cards of 119-109 and 117-109.<\/p>\n

The southpaw Dumezweni was in control from the opening bell and dropped Sultan who was cut over the right eye, with a swinging left to the jaw in the ninth round to emerge a clear winner after 12 rounds.<\/p>\n

Dumezweni improved his record 12-2; 8 and Sultan\u2019s record dropped to 15-5; 9.<\/p>\n
