The main fight of the evening involved WBC super flyweight champion Asley Gonzalez, who successfully defended her title against Mary Romero. In another bout, Esneidy Rodriguez defeated Sana Hazuki by split decision, for the WBC Silver Atom belt.<\/p>\n

An important session was held during the annual WBC Convention, where key\u00a0 topics were touched upon, such as the essential and vital need for boxing to return to the Olympic Games, which is headed by World Boxing. Its president Boris Van Der Vorst. He said that they currently have 59 National Commissions but need seventy-five. At a meeting with the IOC this coming March, a decision will be made on whether Olympic boxing will resume and can be at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.<\/p>\n
