White Card International Sports Day for Development and Peace triumph<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman thanked the magnificent support and unity of sports and educational\u00a0organizations national plus international Olympic committees, federations and athletes,\u00a0who combined to make \u00a02019 campaign White Card a resounding success.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to this solidarity and unity the campaign was a total success, getting the message across to hundreds of people, promoting the positive and constructive values of sport for peace leading to a bright and positive future, especially for young people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He stressed that sports are a purposeful means to promote social change, community development, encouraging equity and inclusion, promoting\u00a0peace friendship and understanding among people, communities and nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Mauricio Sulaiman\u00a0also \u00a0said that Boxing is the guiding light beaming a a message of peace to all corners of the world, as well as a tremendous motivation for children and young people to follow their dreams and move them away from the threat and danger of addictions and violence, offering a different way of life that allows them to develop in an integral way.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that the use of the #WhiteCard – which is recognized as a key symbol to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on April 6, which was established in 2013 – will continue until April 20.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
