The governor of Chiapas is presented with the Chiapaneco belt\u00a0 in Tuxtla<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This morning, the President of the World Boxing Council Mauricio Sulaiman, presented a replica \u00a0of the Chiapas \u201cMayan Warrior\u201d belt, to the Governor of the State of Chiapas, Rutilio Escand\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by a glittering lineup of champions, the Leader of the WBC said: “it is very important to create these belts for the communities that\u00a0craft them, since the presence of the World Boxing Council, \u00a0places them as some of the most important\u00a0sporting\u00a0accolades\u00a0in the world. These works are\u00a0 such a source of deep pride for all Mexicans. ”<\/p>\n

Former world champion Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, mentioned feeling rather envious of the boxers, \u00a0because in his time there were no such belts. But he pointed out that Mauricio has promised him his own belt in Chiapas… when he celebrates his seventieth birthday!<\/p>\n

Governor Rutilio Escand\u00f3n, recognized and praised the importance of the development of this Chiapas belt because it uplifts the spirit of Chiapas and\u00a0he \u00a0especially mentioned the embroiderer of Tzotzil origin called Mar\u00eda and amber artist Luis, the masterminds who brilliantly helped created\u00a0this exceptional work of art.<\/p>\n

The State Governor is a\u00a0keen boxing fan and without pause, he was able name each of the champions, at the ceremony, proudly shaking \u00a0hands with: Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, Rub\u00e9n ‘el P\u00faas’ Olivares, Erick ‘El Terrible’ Morales, ‘El Indio de Cuajimalpa’ Lupe Pintor, Alfonso Zamora, Carlos ‘Ca\u00f1as’ Zarate and Humberto ‘Chiquita’ Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n

And he fluently continued presenting\u00a0yet more champions, namely: Rafael M\u00e1rquez, Pipino Cuevas, Jos\u00e9 Luis Bueno and Ibeth ‘La Roca’ Zamora.<\/p>\n

Former world champion from Chiapas, V\u00edctor Rabaneles was named ‘Chiapaneco Ambassador for the world of boxing.’<\/p>\n
