IBC and WBC to boost boxing impetus in India<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On Wednesday, Prashanth Singh and Abhishek Kadali of the Indian Boxing Council (IBC), the main sanctioning body for professional boxing in that country affiliated with the World Boxing Council, visited our offices in Mexico City, to present an important project.<\/p>\n

On this date and commemorating India’s Independence Day, August 15, 1947, the WBC announces its full backing and support for the Indian Professional Boxing League (IPBL), a project unique to this country.<\/p>\n

It signifies a crucial and pivotal moment for boxing in India and will highlight the potential of athletes on the world stage.
\nIndia, with its 1.4 billion people, has a vast untapped boxing talent pool. The IPBL will provide a structured platform for thousands of boxers. This annual league, representing all regions of India, will be a foundation for nurturing and developing boxers and propelling them to the highest levels.
\nThe IPBL\u2019s mission to empower Indian boxers aligns with the WBC\u2019s vision to promote and enhance boxing worldwide. Through regular competitive opportunities, boxers will gain the experience and exposure needed to elevate their skills and prepare for global competition.<\/p>\n

This league will be instrumental in producing boxers who can compete for the prestigious WBC world titles in the future.
\nThe WBC is committed to working closely with the IPBL to ensure the success of this league and the advancement of its boxers.<\/p>\n

In addition to this project, the WBC will also support 12R\u2019s Fantasy app as an innovative and impactful addition to the world of boxing, enhancing fan engagement and further promoting the sport on a global scale.<\/p>\n

12R\u2019s Fantasy Boxing Points system, has demonstrated significant potential to transform the way fans interact with boxing, bringing a new level of excitement and engagement. By allowing fans to engage more deeply with the fights and athletes, this system fosters a closer connection between the audience and the sport, ultimately generating increased avid interest.<\/p>\n

The World Boxing Council will advise 12R by supporting the implementation of this system across the boxing world.<\/p>\n
