Undefeated, heavy handed British Mark Chamberlain (16-0, 21 kos), returned to Saudi Arabia #RiyadhSeason to face the Nigerian Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab with the World Boxing Council lightweight silver belt at stake, as part of the card headlined by Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Arabia, Saudi.<\/div>\n

Mark came into this fight after knocking out his compatriot Gavin Gwynne (17-3-1) in Saudi Arabia in March.<\/div>\n

Both began cautiously, tempering their power and gauging distance; Then, Chamberlain surprised Wahab with a solid left hand that dropped him.<\/div>\n

Bravely, Oluwaseun Wahab beat the count; However, Chamberlain buzzed him with a powerful combination from which he could not recover. In this way, Mark Chamberlain became WBC silver lightweight champion.<\/div>\n

\u201cI knew that Wahab was going to be a difficult fight. He had a very important record with only one defeat and had never been stopped. It was surprising to me the way it finished, it was actually the first solid hand I let go. Then I decided to end it by attacking with a strong combination.<\/i><\/div>\n
