Mexico\u2019s Green and Gold National Amateur Tournament Starts at the Otom\u00ed Ceremonial Center<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With the Otom\u00ed Ceremonial Center as center stage, WBC President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, Victoria Montero, director of the general of physical culture and sports, and Juan Jose Herrera, president of the Commission of the State of Mexico, officially inaugurated the \u201cGreen and Gold\u201d Amateur Tournament where more than 450 boxers are participating.<\/p>\n

The tournament, which will last three days, happens in three different rings, that will work simultaneously. There will be eliminators until the final which will be on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony was full of surprise with the attendance of delegations from the participating states Sonora, Baja California Sur, Baja California Norte, Aguascalientes, Chiapas, Puebla, CDMX, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nuevo Le\u00f3n , Jalisco, Guanajuato, Tamaulipas, Oaxaca, Quinta Roo, Veracruz, Zacatecas, State of Mexico.<\/p>\n

For WBC President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, this is a historic event for amateur boxing, but especially for the hundreds of young people and children who gathered, because it signifies a beginning of their dream.<\/p>\n

Mauricio thanked all the organizers, especially Mr. Monroy Gonz\u00e1lez, who highlighted that he has put his heart and soul into making the tournament a success.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the efforts of all, who have done all their work to make the tournament a great event, from which the future world champions will emerge.<\/p>\n
