Rey won`t play Ball in Riyadh!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

“Otumba Man” Rey Vargas, featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, will defend his title against “Scoucer” Nick “Wrecking” Ball, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Friday, which will feature the heavyweight clash Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.<\/p>\n

Vargas aged thirty three, has built a record of 36 victories in 37 fights, with 22 by knockout, and one loss, will make the first defense of his WBC featherweight title.
\nBall, 26, who has NEVER had to bounce back from defeat, has notched 19 wins, including 11 by knockout, having his first opportunity to become world champion. He currently holds the WBC Silver title.<\/p>\n

It`s organized by Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions and DAZN, with the approval of the advisor of the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheik.

\u201cI thank everyone involved in this fight. I’m ready to get in the ring and talk with my fists. “I always have intense preparation to arrive in great condition for the fight and this is no exception.”<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a great opportunity for me to be here in Riyadh. I respect my rival, but being world champion has always been my dream and I am going to be crowned on Friday. \u201cWe\u2019ve had a great training camp and I\u2019m confident in what I can achieve.\u201d<\/p>\n
