Undefeated World Boxing Council Silver super middleweight champion, Mexican Jaime Mungu\u00eda (42-0, 33 KOs) will tangle with teak tough British fighter John \u201cThe Gorilla\u201d Ryder (32-6, 18 KOs) in a eagerly scheduled 12-rounder imprint.<\/p>\n

This explosive fireworks fight night, presented in association with Zanfer Boxing and Matchroom Boxing, is at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, January 27 and will be broadcast globally on DAZN.<\/p>\n

All action Jaime Mung\u00eda, ranked No. 2 by the WBC, was last seen in June 2023 winning the WBC Silver Super Middleweight Championship against resolute former world title contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko, in a masterful and mature performance that has been hailed as a Fight of the Year Contender.<\/p>\n

John Ryder showed his mettle and true grit, when he went the distance with current undisputed world champion and boxing superstar Saul Canelo Alvarez in May 2023. He has defeated several top contenders, the most notable being Daniel Jacobs in 2022. He is currently ranked number 8 by the WBC.<\/p>\n

Munguia vs. Ryder is a 12-round fight presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Matchroom Boxing. The event will be available worldwide to all DAZN subscribers, both live and on-demand. Don`t blink!<\/p>\n

This Friday the official weigh-in of the evening took place. Munguia registered 167.7 pounds, while Ryder stopped the scale at 167.8 pounds.<\/p>\n
