This is a potion that the South American indigenous peoples have tippled for \u00a0centuries to connect with their ancestors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">DMT has been around for many years, but its use began to become popular between the 1980s and 1990s under the name Spiritual Molecule or God Molecule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Robin Carhart-Harris, head of the Center for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London, explained in his study that DMT is a particularly intriguing psychedelic, as the visual intensity and depth of immersion produced by high doses of the substance appear to be on a scale higher than what is reported with other more widely studied psychedelics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">DMT is known to have a significant impact on the electrical activity of the brain, by showing a clear drop in alpha waves. These are the brain waves that are usually most present when we are awake and relaxed.
