Ex world champion Wayne McCullough has presented his former amateur club Albert Foundry with a replica of the World Boxing Council belt.<\/p>\n

Wayne was alongside his old training partners and friends Tommy Waite and Stephen Kirk, who have done a great job here.<\/p>\n

Wayne captured the World Boxing Council bantamweight crown by defeating tough Japanese fighter Yasuei Yakushiji in his hometown of Nagoya, Japan.
\nFew gave him any chance, but the young man born in the United Kingdom showed great determination that night, putting on an excellent fight, completely dominating the action.<\/p>\n

He had an brilliant amateur career of more than 300 fights, notching over 100 knockouts, with only 10 losses; which led him to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand and in 1990 a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.<\/p>\n

In his professional career Wayne achieved a record of 27 victories, with 18 knockouts and had 7 losses, Wayne was never knocked out and fought against great fighters.
