Walk of Fame: Simon Brown and Mikkel Kessler<\/strong><\/h2>\n

T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, will rock and roll on September 30th, as\u00a0Mexican Sa\u00fal \u201cCanelo\u201d \u00c1lvarez will defend his super middleweight world titles against the undisputed super welterweight world champion, North American Jermell Charlo. Wow!<\/p>\n

We remember the best champions of the super welterweight and super middleweight divisions as a tribute to Canelo and Charlo, who are the cr\u00e8me de cr\u00e8me, \u00a0as it is the first time that two undisputed champions face each other.<\/p>\n

In this \u201cWalk of Fame\u201d today we remember and revere Simon Brown and Mikkel Kessler.<\/p>\n

Simon Brown<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0 Simon Brown, born August 15, 1963 in Clarendon, Jamaica, was a noted welterweight and super middleweight champion and was at one time considered one of the pound-for-pound best of his time.<\/p>\n

Brown began his career in 1982 at the age of 19 and achieved a string of 21 consecutive victories.<\/p>\n

Already in the super middleweight division, in 1993 he defeated Terry Norris via a devastating fourth-round knockout to win the WBC title.<\/p>\n

In his outstanding purple patch he faced fantastic Bernard Hopkins, Vincent Pettway, Terry Norris, Troy Waters and Buddy McGirt.<\/p>\n

Mikkel Kessler\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mikkel Kessler, born March 1, 1979 in Denmark, competed professionally from 1998 to 2013. He won multiple super middleweight world championships, including the WBC twice between 2006 and 2010.<\/p>\n

Kessler competed five years as an amateur and finished his amateur career with a record of 44 wins and three losses.<\/p>\n

Kessler originally campaigned as a super welterweight but where he shone \u00a0most was at 168 pounds.<\/p>\n

In his successful career he faced the likes of Carl Froch, Allan Green, Mehdi Bouadla, Andre Ward, Joe Calzaghe, Librado Andrade, Markus Beyer and Anthony Mundine.<\/p>\n
