WBC Talks Round 43- one on one with the legendary Larry Holmes

Today we had the opportunity, the honor and the privilege of closing one more week of #WBCTalks chating with one of the greatest heavyweights in all history: LARRY HOLMES.

The President of the World Boxing Council talked with Larry for over an hour. Larry, who has always distinguished himself as a noble man, talked about his beginnings, his most difficult fights, his family, his beliefs, his love and loyalty to people, plus his eternal gratitude for those who helped him to be what he is today.

Larry was also very emphatic about his colleagues and how media pressure has changed them over time and urged them not to forget where they come from and to always be grateful to the fans.

Larry took the opportunity to remember his friend, mentor, rival and friend  Muhammad Ali. Larry fondly remembered the best of all time by recalling anecdotes of sparring, travels and fighting.

Larry also talked about his rivalry with Gerry Cooney and how it  transformed into a wonderful friendhsip.

To close, Larry fulfilled the dream of a great admirer of his by sending him an affectionate greeting and even asked for his number so that he could call him and have a chat with him.
