
For the sixteenth year, the Panamerican University Youth Congress graced the sporting Callander.
The Congress was held at the Camino Real Hotel on March 19th and 20th.
The event was headed by the President of this committee, Francisco Mieres.
Distinguished personalities, principally, the head of the Ministry of Public Education, Marío Delgado, the Secretary of Women, Citlalí Hernández Mora, the Secretary of Citizen Security and Cybersecurity, Pablo Vázquez, honored with their presence.
The last presentation of the day was a panel accompanied by a series of questions and answers led by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, Mariana “Barby” Juarez and Jorge “Travieso” Arce.
In that panel, Mauricio gave a message to the young people in attendance.
“Always act, make an impact now. You have to work harder than the one next to you, keep dreaming and fighting for your dreams. And when you achieved all that, keep working.”
The WBC leader expressed his satisfaction at seeing the young people gathered at the event.
“It’s wonderful, it fills me with energy to see young people preparing to take Mexico to where we should be.”
For their part, “Barby” and “Travieso” shared their best experiences throughout their sports careers.

“Life is very similar to boxing, you fight up and down the ring.”
Jorge the “Travieso” Arce shared an emotional anecdote he experienced with his father.
“I made a promise when I was very young , to my dying father, and years later I fulfilled it. I was not a champion once, but five times. Don’t be distracted from your goal.”
The WBC team, accompanied by Josejas, WBC humanitarian ambassador, brought caps and T-shirts as a nice surprise for the attendees.
