November 11th is one of the most important dates for the United States, as it`s Veterans Day, a date in which American citizens pay tribute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
A very special day where people celebrate all those heroes who, regardless of the dangers, defended their country with honor and great courage and fortunately returned home to their loved ones.
At the WBC we have always adhered to this important celebration, as we recognize these men and women as true champions of life, because they put their health and integrity on the line, by caring for others in serving their country.
Throughout the years, the World Boxing Council has joined the festivities, as world champions and great legends of the ring have joined the different commemorative parades; Last year WBC President Mr. Mauricio Sulaiman, recognized US Army veteran Jim Rice and US Marine Steven Cameron, for their outstanding and courageous work protecting North America.
There have also been visits to war veterans, with the presence of champions and ambassadors from WBC Cares, who have always shown them greatest respect and admiration.
Today, like every year, the World Boxing Council celebrates and recognizes the invaluable contribution of these men and women, who have risked their lives in the service of others.
A heartfelt, grateful and sincere THANK YOU.
