During this week’s Martes de Cafe, held at Aztlán, Chapultepec Park, the highlights of the WBC Green and Gold Amateur World Tournament were presented through a video recap.
Event organizer Monroy González shared his gratitude:
“I want to thank all the countries that participated. It was an event where I wish everyone could have left as winners, but there always has to be one who loses. It was months of hard work, and I’m deeply thankful to everyone who supported us.”
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán praised the effort:
“I’m very proud of Monroy and his team for the titanic job they did.”
Also present was Valeria Pérez, one of the tournament champions:
“It was a beautiful experience, the organization was excellent, and I gained a lot of experience. Thanks to Monroy and Mr. Sulaimán— we’re 100% Green and Gold!”
Media questions
