WBC Boxing Grand Prix final celebrated at Martes de Café

The final of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix took place on December 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At this edition of Martes de Café, Brandon Mejía, the tournament’s featherweight champion, was in attendance.

During the conference, a video was shown featuring parts of Mejía’s life and his momentous journey throughout the tournament.

Brandon Mejía shared his thoughts:

“I want to thank all the fans for the messages I received and the WBC for the warm welcome. Today I truly feel like part of the WBC family. It was a tournament where I put in a tremendous amount of work, but everything was worth it in the end. This tournament helped many young fighters who lack opportunities. I am very happy to be the first WBC Boxing Grand Prix featherweight champion, and I will become an undisputed champion.”
