After 10 years, the first two bouts for the WBC Baltic WBC have already been held.
The WBC Baltic championship is a championship that existed from 2008 to 2015. It was founded by the then vice president of the WBC, Edmund Lipinski.
This is a title to which only 14 countries have access: the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia*, Slovakia, Sweden and Ukraine (* – according to WBC rules).
There are two established titles, the WBC Baltic title (10 rounds) and the WBC Baltic silver title (8 rounds).
This year we already had two fights in the return of this championship. The first was on April 11, Rafal Dudek faced Kajetan Kalinowski at semi-complete weight. Kalinowski took the bout by KO in the eighth round.
The next day, Kacper Meyna and Mariusz Wach met at heavyweight. Meyna emerged as champion by unanimous decision.
More fights for this championship are expected as the year progresses.
