Water under the bridge as torrential Brook defeats Khan

Former world champion Kell Brook overcame fellow Brit and also former champion Amir Khan by TKO in the sixth round this Saturday at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

A British boxing rivalry which has brewed and stewed and accrued for more than a decade, has finally come to an end.

The action broke out in the first round when Brook rocked Khan multiple times, with the crowd roaring, as Khan fought back with power shots.

Towards the end of the third, Brook attacked, driving Khan into the ropes and keeping him there until the bell.

Khan showed stamina and big heart in the fifth round to stay on his feet after a sustained weltering onslaught from Brook. The power of Kell’s punches proved to be the significant difference. The Referee intervened to save him, when he was taking a barrage, and not fighting back.
