O’Shaquie Foster will defend his World Boxing Council super featherweight world title against Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernández this Saturday, October 28, on a card presented by Matchroom and DAZN, in association with Pepe Gómez and Cancún Boxing.
It`s at the Benito Juárez Sports Center in Cancun, Quunitana Roo, Mexico, a place that, in addition to being a vacation paradise, has become an epicenter of boxing.
Foster (20-2 11 KOs) won the Green and Gold Belt n San Antonio, Texas in February by defeating hitherto unbeaten Mexican Rey Vargas to become world champion. The Houston fighter faces another Mexican opponent in his first defense.
Hernández (34-1, 31 KOs) earned his chance to hand Foster his “Gloucester” via a streak of knockout victories, with his most recent victory over Héctor García in July.
