
Impressive exhibition matches were in Unit 40 of Lomas de Zamora, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the reintegration program, “Boxing without Chains”.
The linked event was in the internal courtyard of the prison unit in front of a large audience, of inmates from three complexes, relatives, professors and provincial authorities of the Penitentiary Service of Buenos Aires.
Unit Chief Cristian Rodríguez, thanked the team of “Boxeo sin Cadenas” together with the support of Scholas and the WBC, for making the festival a resounding success. He also thanked the donation of materials made by different agencies and particularly those sent from the Vatican.
The exhibitions were helped by students and friends of the social program that takes place jointly in the World Boxing Council and the Superliga of Argentina. It`s been developing for 7 years in different penal units.
The festival lasted for almost three hours and culminated with the presentation of WBC diplomas to the participants, managers and teachers, by Fernando Pereyra and Marcos Arienti, founders of “Boxeo sin Cadenas.”
