Rey who has a perfect record of 33 wins, with 22 of them by way of KO , is ready to face the Japanese contender.
“I am happy with the love of my people and fully motivated for what is coming. We face a very complicated opponent. A Japanese warrior who always comes forward but nothing that I have not faced before. We’ve worked very hard for this fight. I hope my people do not miss it because it will be a fight to remember.
“I’m ready for a war. I’m representing Otumba, and Mexico and I promise you will have a champ for a long time.”
Rey is sharp and totally prepared, a week after the open media work out. He even fulfilled the mandatory seven-day pre weigh in, registering 56,500 Kg, which is comfortably below the 57,150 kilograms set by the regulations of the World Boxing Council, which is equivalent to 3% above the limit of the division.
