On Saturday night Saul “Canelo” Álvarez and Callum Smith fight for the super middleweight title of the World Boxing Council.
Prior to this blockbuster bout, both sturdy warriors were face to face in San Antonio, Texas, sizing each other up…and down.
Complying with all health protocols for the coronavirus pandemic, the Mexican and the British had a pre bout meeting. Something that significantly stood out when they posed for the cameras was the 18-centimeter height difference between the fighters.
Álvarez, who is 53-1-2, (with 36 knockouts), is coming off defeating Russian Sergey Kovalev in November 2019 with a huge KO.
Smith, who enters the fight with an undefeated record of 27-0, with 19 knockouts, comes from defeating his compatriot John Ryder in November of last year.
