Today We Recall The Toughest Rivals they have faced:
Beterbiev vs Bivol 1
Even though there were no knockdowns, their first fight was intense, riveting and superb throughout. Bivol boxed, fluidly as well as fluently, moving around the ring, while Beterbiev always surged forward, seeking the knockout by punishing his rival.
Beterbiev vs Yarde
Artur retained his WBC belt by scoring an eighth-round technical knockout victory against British power puncher Anthony Yarde at OVO Arena Wembley in London. At the time of the stoppage, two Judges had Yarde winning. The fight began as expected, with Yarde boxing from the outside and using a ramrod left jab to keep Beterbiev occupied. The champion moved forward with resolve and grim determination, as he began to figure out his challenger.
Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Both fighters went all out for a KO from the outset, landing powerful punches in thrilling and sustained exchanges. By the 8th round, Beterbiev started to connect appreciably harder and more frequently, with more accurate punches on Gvozdyk, which began to affect him. Going into the 10th round Gvozdyk was leading on two of the three Judges’ cards. But Beterbiev launched a terrific sustained attack, knocking him down three times and he was saved by the Referee.
Bivol vs Richards
Bivol showcased his superior skills and throughout the fight. He controlled the pace, landed the crisper punches, and effectively neutralized Richards’ attempts to close the distance. Despite being outclassed, Richards displayed heart and resilience. He absorbed Bivol’s power shots and had moments of success, particularly in the later rounds where he pushed Bivol back.
Bivol vs Saul Alvarez
Bivol used his superior size and reach to control the distance, effectively utilizing his jab to keep Canelo at bay. He also displayed excellent defense. Canelo, known for his power and aggressive style, struggled to close the distance but still landed some hard shots. The bout ended in a very close UD in favor of Bivol!
