Top Brass “General!” David Cuellar presented with his Green and Gold Belt
This morning, at the traditional “Coffee Tuesday” the newly crowned silver youth champion, David Cuellar received from the hands of WBC Presifent Mauricio Sulaimán, the belt that heralds him as champion, a status he won by defeating Karim Arce in a thriller.
With the satisfaction of having won the belt, even though he was not the favorite, David stressed that this is just the beginning of an ascent leading to more triumphs and championships, because his dream is to one day become world champion of the prestigious WBC.
“General” as he is known in the world of gloves, knew full well that the order of the day involved the mentality of a winner, because he fully and implicitly trusted in his training and especially in the power of his fists. He dedicated the victory to his family, his work team and all his loyal fans.
Mauricio Sulaimán, who invited David’s father to put the belt on his son, told him that this is the beginning of a promising career, which also carries great responsibility and commitment. So, he urged David to work hard to conquer his dreams, utilizing his gifts and talents, with dedication backed by his team and loved ones.
