Tomoki Kameda conquers WBC interim Crown
Former Japanese world champion Tomoki “Mexicanito” Kameda, conquered the World Boxing Council interim super bantamweight belt, by defeating Dominican-Spanish, ranked #1 by the WBC, Abigail Medina by UD, at the Korakuen Hal in Tokyo, Japan this Monday.
Using his fast jab Kameda managed to control of the fight throughout to obtain a clear victory, on the three cards with: 117-111, 117- 111 and 116-112.
This victory of Kameda places him on the road to face the absolute champion, Mexican Rey Vargas, who is currently recovering from an injury.
Kameda improved his record to 36-2, with 20 knockouts, while Medina left with 19-4-2, including 10 knockouts.
