
Tonight the inaugural fight for the Bridger world title of the World Boxing Council will be contested.
Oscar Rivas (27-1-0; 19KO’s) and world ranked Ryan Rozicki (13-0; 13KO’s will step into the ring at the L’Olympia in Montreal, Canada, a renovated venue that has maintained its captivating prestige.
Rivas comes from knocking out Sylvera Louis in the third episode, last March in the city of Quedec, Canada. Undefeated Rozicki, comes from defeating the same rival in April of this year.
The WBC recently created the Bridger division, which ranges from the upper limit of the Cruiserweight division of 90 kilos / 200 pounds to 101 kilos / 224 pounds.
On the same card, Canadian welterweight Sébastien Bouchard (19-2-0, 8 KOs) faces Mexican welterweight Sergio “Checo” Ortega (24-2-0, 18 KOs), in an eight-round match.
The fight, which is co-promoted by Daniel Otter (Three Lions Promotions) and Yvon Michel (GYM Promotions), will be televised on ESPN +.
