Dalton “ Thunder” Smith will defend his WBC super lightweight silver title this April 19 against Mathieu Germain.
Dalton Smith made his 2019 debut against the Croatian, Luka Leskovic. He won that bout by decision.
A lightning streak of 7 straight KOs gave him his first title shot. In May 2021, he faced Lee Appleyard for the BBBofC English super lightweight. Smith sent his opponent to the canvas in the sixth round.
One fight later, came his shot at a WBC belt. In March 2023, the silver super lightweight title was vacant and “Thunder” faced Ray Moylette at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, Great Britain.
Smith and Moylette gave us an exciting fight that was decided in the last round. Dalton knocked Ray out in the 10th.
Smith successfully defended his WBC Silver title once and vacated it.
Two years passed and “Thunder” fought again for the WBC silver super lightweight title. This time, Jose Zepeda was his opponent.
The title was vacant, so both boxers fought fiercely. In the fifth round, Smith landed a right to the body that sent Zepeda to the canvas and he couldn’t get up at the 10 count.
Earlier this year, Dalton successfully defended his silver WBC against Frenchman Walid Oiuzza. Again the Brit showed his power and sent his opponent to the canvas twice in the first round.
Dalton Smith holds an undefeated record of 17 wins and 13 KOs.
